Kid friendly Easter table

We are hosting Easter this year and to make it extra special, we will have family in town to celebrate with. Traditionally, we go to church and do an egg hunt for the kids and then stuff our faces – all. day. long. I’m starting to pull together our menu for this year and getting excited about our favorite dessert and sweet rolls. My sister in law is going to make Grannie Maine’s potatoes (who Little Nugget was named after) and we’re going to order a ham. Lots and lots of ham.
Since our nieces will be in town, I put together a fun Easter table so that all the cousins can sit together. We only get to see each other a couple times a year and it’s so fun to see the kids bond and create memories together, despite their age differences.
Kid Friendly Easter Table
These plates are from Pier One and I could not resist them. What’s more whimsical and fun than rabbits with glasses and spring formal wear?
The napkins and napkin rings are also from Pier One. Each one of the set has a different word on it – Nosh, Nibble, Pick or Graze. Pretty much sums up my kids appetite on any given day. I love that they work on the Easter table but could be used any time of year.
When I was taking pictures of the Easter table, Big Nugget asked if she could help. I asked her to go around and take pictures of all the things she liked on the table. This was one of her pictures and I thought it was great! Especially for a 4 year old. I asked her what she liked about this picture and she told me that she could see everything fun in it – the silly rabbits, the yummy candy and the twinkle carrot lights in the tree.
The Peeps centerpiece was fun to put together and so easy. See the full tutorial here.
The place mats are just brown craft paper and are fun to draw and write on when the kids are waiting on their food. These crayons are perfect for little hands and in a great spring color palette.
Seriously, I can not get enough of these plates. So stinking cute. The glasses are the perfect size for the kids also and from the Magnolia for Target line. Egg holders, bunny and rolled paper flowers were all found at the Target Dollar Spot.
